Job Title: Cancer Exercise Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Cancer Exercise Specialist, certified either by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) with the ACS Cancer Exercise Specialist certification or by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a Certified Cancer Exercise Specialist. This role involves designing and supervising exercise programs tailored to the needs of cancer patients and survivors, focusing on improving their strength, endurance, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
Assess the physical capabilities and limitations of clients diagnosed with cancer, considering their treatment stage and medical history.
Develop and implement exercise programs that are safe, effective, and specifically tailored to enhance the health of cancer patients and survivors.
Monitor and adjust exercise prescriptions as necessary to accommodate changes in treatment status and physical health.
Provide education and guidance on exercise benefits and safety considerations specific to cancer recovery.
Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate exercise into overall cancer care plans.
Document all client interactions, progress reports, and program adjustments with precision and care.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Certification as a Cancer Exercise Specialist from ACSM-ACS or ACE.
Experience in oncology exercise programming or a similar role focusing on chronic disease management.
Strong understanding of the physical and psychological challenges faced by cancer patients and survivors.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to motivate and support clients through their recovery journey.
Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for delivering exercise programs and tracking client progress.
